Kong Tour Through Northland

Kong tour through Northland has just been completed.

Following a very successful launch at the Auckland Home Show, Kong has returned from a 2 week tour through Northland including the Far North. This gave us the opportunity to take this mobile kitchen showroom to customers that can’t easily visit our Auckland based Design Centres.


To date, these Northland customers could only view the product in our catalogues and brochures, or smaller samples that Tony, the account manager could show from his car. With the Kong tour, our customers can view the installed product and trial working model display units.

This region is commonly referred to as the “Winterless North.” We negotiated with unseasonably wet and often very windy Spring conditions, but did not dampen the very enthusiastic customers we visited.

I can safely say that no other company that supplies to the NZ F&J Industry has taken a concept to the scale of Kong, then driven it to customer’s premises for inspection.

Kong Has Been Launched

Kong, Hafele's mobile Showroom

The official Christchurch launch was held at the Hafele Christchurch Design Centre on Friday 16 July - so keep your eyes open for photographs on the launch in the up and coming Hafele Times and on this blog.

After conquering the South Island - Kong will cross the Cook Strait and thunder his way towards Auckland, Kong will head directly to the ASB showgrounds to the Auckland Homeshow from 8 September to the 12 September, residing in Hall 3, Stand 301.

From here Kong will travel around the North Island visiting customers, architects and educational institutions along the way.
